Abby & Chris celebrated their wedding at the iconic Tanglewood Estate, nestled in the heart of Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula. This day, and this film, are a true reflection of who they are — soft, romantic, deeply connected, and full of heart.
My approach to filming weddings is all about quiet observation. I don’t set up shots or direct moments — I watch, I listen, and I wait for the magic to unfold naturally. I’m drawn to the in-between, the often-overlooked moments that carry just as much emotion as the big ones. This film is a perfect example of that philosophy.
The edit opens with a scene most might miss — a live acoustic sound check before the ceremony. Just a quiet moment of tuning and rhythm before everything begins. A storm rolled in, but instead of disrupting the day, it added to the atmosphere. I sent the drone up through the rain, capturing moody skies, drifting clouds and guests arriving under umbrellas. It’s these real, unfiltered details that bring the story to life.
What unfolded was a wedding full of love and tenderness — stolen glances, hands held tightly, soft smiles, and meaningful words. Abby & Chris are romantics in the truest sense, and their film is a gentle, poetic reflection of their connection.
